Ferrari decide not to appeal Vettel penalty
Ferrari have decided not to appeal the five-second penalty that cost Sebastian Vettel victory in the Canadian Grand Prix and launched a million debates within worl of Formula 1 and even beyond. Vettel crossed the finish line first but was penalised five seconds for dangerous driving, which handed victory to archrivals Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari immediately signalled their intent to appeal, it emerged Thursday they informed the FIA they would withdraw as they are 'still working on collecting evidence' on the incident.
