Ferrari lodges intention to appeal Sebastian Vettel's time penalty

Ferrari has lodged an intention to appeal against the time penalty handed out to Sebastian Vettel during Formula 1’s Canadian Grand Prix. Vettel headed Lewis Hamilton at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve but ran wide at Turn 4 on lap 48 of 70, travelling across the grass run-off in the process. Stewards deemed that upon re-joining the circuit he did so in an unsafe manner, while also forcing Hamilton to take evasive action.
