Verstappen defends Q2 strategy, calls exit 'just very unlucky'

Max Verstappen defended Red Bull's decision to try and get through to the final stage of qualifying on Medium tyres in Canada on Saturday, saying he was "very unlucky" to get knocked out in Q2. Verstappen was bumped out of qualifying in 11th place after struggling with traffic on his Medium-tyre lap in Q2, before a late run after switching to Softs was ruined by a late red flag caused by a crash for Haas driver Kevin Magnussen.
