Sainz receives three-place grid penalty for blocking Albon

Carlos Sainz says that he has received a three-place grid penalty for blocking Alexander Albon in Q1 for the Canadian Grand Prix. During the first qualifying session, Albon got out Sainz's way ahead of the final chicane, but as the Thai driver set up for his flying lap, Sainz was in the way at turn two, ruining his lap. According to F1 journalist Chris Medland, Sainz has received a three place grid drop, which provisionally puts him down in 12th place, depending on the fate of Kevin Magnussen, who had a huge crash in Q2.
