Hamilton says FP2 crash was just an 'innocent mistake'

Lewis Hamilton managed just eight laps during Friday afternoon as contact with the wall ended his FP2 session early in Canada. The five-time world champion described the incident as an "innocent mistake" and is relying on data from Valtteri Bottas. Bottas' fastest time couldn't beat either Ferrari as Charles Leclerc topped the session and Sebastian Vettel completed the one-two. Hamilton's early 1:12.938 was fast enough to place him in 6th.
