Hamilton: Performances this season have been ‘quite average’

Lewis Hamilton says his performances through the opening six races of the 2019 Formula 1 season have been “quite average”, anticipating things will “get better” in the coming races. Hamilton took his fourth victory of the year in Monaco last weekend to extend his lead at the top of the F1 drivers’ championship to 17 points, having also scored two second-place finishes. Despite this statistically being his strongest ever start to a season, Hamilton said after his win in Monaco that he felt he had much more to give this year.  “I definitely feel that it’s been quite an average performance from myself.
