'Struggling' Lewis Hamilton says he's been average in 2019
Lewis Hamilton claims he has been “generally quite average” across the opening six rounds of the 2019 Formula 1 season, despite claiming four wins. Hamilton has taken wins in Bahrain, China, Spain and Monaco to establish a 17-point buffer over Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas, who swept to victory in Australia and Azerbaijan. But he feels he still has substantial potential to unlock from himself and the W10 going forward. “I definitely feel that it’s been quite an average performance from myself, maybe above average but generally quite average for the first six races,” he said. “I feel like I’ve got the best I could get.
