Toro Rosso buoyed by competitive practice pace

Monaco Grand Prix – Toro Rosso were pleased with a 'successful' practice day after Alex Albon finished the day as fifth fastest. The Anglo-Thai driver was one of the standout performers on Thursday practice after setting the fifth-fastest time in free practice two. Albon was the only midfield runner to set a time within one second of Lewis Hamilton's practice-topping pace, finishing half-a-second ahead of his team-mate Daniil Kvyat in the process. Speaking after FP2, Albon said that whilst he was happy with their practice pace, he was cautious about rival teams making up ground in time for qualifying.
