Monaco FP2: Hamilton and Mercedes flex their muscles

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes flexed their muscles on day one of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend as they dominated both practice sessions, with the World Champion ending the day fastest of all narrowly pipping teammate Valtteri Bottas to the top time, the pair seven tenths ahead of next best. They may be reeling from the loss of Formula 1 legend Niki Lauda, but Mercedes are on a mission to win this one for their departed Chairman and after day one it seems little can stop them.
