Abtiteboul: Renault aren't where they wanted to be

Cyril Abiteboul has admitted Renault are not achieving the goals they set ahead of the 2019 season but insists they will not change them as they look to gain some consistency. Much was expected of Renault after they signed Daniel Ricciardo from Red Bull Racing but they have struggled this season securing just two points finishes from a possible ten. After comfortably being best of the rest in 2018 they are still in with a chance of that title again, benefitting from the tight and unpredictable midfield battle, which is currently led by McLaren.
