Watch: Mercedes-Benz at the 1939 Tripoli Grand Prix

In 1939 Mercedes-Benz entered the W 165 into the Tripoli Grand Prix. In its only outing the W 165 secured a famous win and wrote itself into motorsport history. Things look very different nowadays but take a look back into that famous day, 80 years ago.
