McLaren will rest when P1 and P2

McLaren sporting director Gil de Ferran says the team will only rest when they are P1 and 2 in Formula 1. The Woking outfit are without a race win since 2012, but this season have shown signs of major improvement – showcased by Lando Norris' P6 finish in Bahrain while both cars qualified in the top ten. McLaren were confident of their race pace at Formula 1's 1000th GP in China, but a first-lap incident cost them the chance to fight for points. When asked by RaceFans.net if their engine supplier Renault were seen as the first target for his team, de Ferran dismissed the idea, while stating that there is 'no rest until we are P1 and P2'. “Personally I don’t look at it that way,”...
