Max Verstappen believes the Red Bull didn’t have the pace to compete with the top three as a strategy error from Ferrari helped him beat out Charles Leclerc to fourth place. Despite finishing fourth and having a competitive dual with Sebastian Vettel the Honda-powered Red Bull never made any proper inroads into the podium positions and Verstappen’s teammate Pierre Gasly had a race of his own. The Frenchman was too quick for the midfield but wasn’t able to compete with the top five.
