Steiner: New qualifying format would favour big teams

Haas F1 team principal Gunther Steiner believes that a new qualifying format would only benefit the big teams of Formula 1. Rumours have been circulating that F1 could be set to change qualifying once again. The new change would see an additional Q4 session added with the aim of having more cars on track during the hour-long qualifying session. Despite the positive intention, the Haas boss argues that the additional session added on to the existing format would take away the jeopardy the bigger teams sometimes face when experiencing a difficult qualifying.
