Mick Schumacher drives for Ferrari in Bahrain test

Over a decade ago, Fernando Alonso was battling Michael Schumacher for the world title in a titanic duel. This week, he shares the track with Mick Schumacher, Michael’s son. Mick will make his F1 test debut with Ferrari, after joining their young driver programme earlier in the year. He made his F2 debut last weekend in Bahrain, scoring points in both races, and has stayed at the circuit to take part in the test. He will drive for Alfa Romeo tomorrow and should get a good feel of what an F1 car can do. Alonso will be back in a McLaren tomorrow.
