Alonso to test for McLaren and Pirelli in Bahrain

McLaren have confirmed that Fernando Alonso will test for the team after the Bahrain Grand Prix when teams remain at the venue for Formula 1 testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. McLaren confirmed on Twitter that Alonso will drive the Pirelli ‘mule car' on Tuesday, and then have a shot at the current spec car on Wednesday afternoon. Regular drivers Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris will share duties, with the Spaniard in the car on Tuesday and Wednesday in the morning on both days.
