W Series announces their 18 drivers for inaugural season

The fledgling W Series has announced the 18 drivers who will compete in the 2019 season, after undergoing a four day selection process in Spain. After making it through the initial selection stages, 28 drivers were brought to Almeria in Spain for the final four day evaluation to whittle them down to 18. Using the series' Hitech GP Tatuus F3 car, the drivers completed over 3000 laps of the circuit this week as selectors made their choices. On Wednesday, 12 drivers were chosen by W Series Racing Director Dave Ryan, with the final six announced on Thursday by Chairman David Coulthard after extra track time.
