McLaren: Thank you Renault for a competitive package

It was a bittersweet Saturday for McLaren, while their rookie driver Lando Norris was the star of qualifying newcomer Carlos Sainz had a disappointing debut with his new team who are banking on him to fill the big shoes of fellow Spaniard Fernando Alonso. Sainz seemed to have the upper hand throughout practice but in qualy he hit traffic on his fast lap which was compromised as a result. Bad luck was a factor sure, but when they tally the scores at the end of the season that is forgotten… Norris didn't put a foot wrong and avoided trouble to deliver a massive lap on his first Satruday as a Grand Prix driver, signalling his arrival on the biggest stage in the best manner possible.
