Hamilton on pole for 2019 round one Australian GP

Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton grabs pole position in his final effort from his teammate Valtteri Bottas, who made provisional pole in first session of Q3. The Brit made the pole for the first round of the 2019 F1 season as Mercedes dominated qualifying at the Australian Grand Prix. 'I'm shaking, it was so close out there,' said the Lewis Hamilton. 'I'm overwhelmed,' says Mercedes chief Toto Wolff. 'After winter testing, it really didn't look like this at all.' Wolff adds: 'Lewis is almost unbeatable around here.' Sebastian Vettel was third for Ferrari but 0.704s off the pace, and Max Verstappen will join him on the second row after edging out Charles Leclerc in the Red Bull…...
