George Russell doubts Williams will fail to qualify for the Australian Grand Prix despite a difficult first day of practice for the team on Friday in Melbourne that saw it finish adrift from the rest of the Formula 1 field. Williams arrived in Australia already on the back foot after missing the first two-and-a-half days of pre-season testing due to delays in the build of its new FW42 car, leading to technical chief Paddy Lowe taking a leave of absence from the team.
