McLaren confirms newly appointed managing director's start date
McLaren has confirmed their newly appointed managing director, Andreas Seidl, will join the team on May 1. Seidl was confirmed to be moving to McLaren in January, and he has now been given a date for his first shift! This means his first race with the McLaren team will be on May 12 in Spain. "We're delighted that Andreas is able to join the team on 1 May. This enables us to continue the momentum of our recovery plan and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to McLaren," McLaren's Zak Brown said in his report. Seidl was previously part of Porsche.
