Alonso feels that Mercedes downfall is close

Fernando Alonso feels that the era of Mercedes dominance is coming to an end.  Alonso has taken some time away from the sport to try and complete the triple crown. It has been widely reported that after this year out, the Spaniard could return to Formula 1 in a bid to win his third World Title.  The two-time World Champion has come out and said that he will be keeping a close eye on Formula 1 and it is likely that he will be involved in testing for McLaren.  When speaking to crash.net Alonso said, "I'm curious to see if the Mercedes cycle will end.
