Pirelli reveals tyre guide ahead of testing

Pirelli has unveiled their tyre compound guide ahead of winter testing. Five compounds will be available to teams as they get to grips with their 2019 cars. ranging from compound C1, which will be the hardest compound the teams will be able to use, to C5 which will be the softest available. Pirelli's chief of F1 and Car Racing Mario Isola explained that whilst five different designs would be present during testing, only three would be used on race weekends to denote tyre compound. “Normally we will only see three colours at every race, so we’re only using three colours at the tests as well.
