Azerbaijan GP signs F1 extension deal until 2023

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has extended its deal with the Formula 1 World Championship to stay on the calendar until 2023. A deal between Formula One Management and the Baku City Circuit was signed well within expiry date of the current contract, this means the 3.73-mile street circuit will continue to host F1 for a further three seasons beyond the original end date in 2020. This deal marks the first renewal deal FOM has signed in 2019 and follows on from other extensions with Belgium, China, Singapore, Japan, and Germany.
