Alonso surprised by fan interaction at Daytona
You may think Fernando Alonso has experienced it all, but Alonso has revealed the atmosphere ahead of the Daytona 24 hr is something that would be “inconceivable” in the pinnacle of motorsport and it took him by surprise. It was announced in November that Alonso would compete in the event for the Wayne Taylor Racing team alongside Kamui Kobayashi, Jordan Taylor and Renger van der Zande, This is just part of Alonso’s post-F1 career as he pursues the final piece of the triple crown, the Indy 500, having already won the Monaco Grand Prix and Le Mans 24 hr.
