Binotto appointment receives Briatore's backing

Flavio Briatore has backed Ferrari's decision to replace Maurizio Arrivabene as team boss, saying with 'different management' 2018 could have yielded a different outcome. With just over a month before Ferrari launch their 2019 car, codenamed the 670, the Scuderia gave team boss Arrivabene the boot on Monday. Once again falling short of Mercedes' standards, Ferrari had to settle for second in both of last year's championships with Arrivabene's head the one to roll. He has been replaced by technical director Mattia Binotto, who has been credited with leading the brain trust behind Ferrari's much-improved SF71H.
