Hamilton tributes Schumacher on 50th birthday
Lewis Hamilton paid tribute to Michael Schumacher on his 50th birthday, saying the seven-time Formula 1 world champion's legacy "will last forever". Only Schumacher stands above Hamilton in terms of drivers' titles and grand prix victories as the Briton embarks on a run of success emulating Schumacher's early 2000s run with Ferrari. Mercedes have matched Ferrari's most golden period over the past five seasons, winning the drivers' and constructors' championship each year. Hamilton has taken five drivers' titles, moving him in sight of Schumacher's seven.
