A New Year's celebration for the 'X' factor

F1i wishes a happy birthday to the great Jacky Ickx, who turns 74-years-young on this first day of the year. As one of motorsport's greatest all-rounders, the legendary Belgian often put his rivals in his shade over he course of his long and successful career, be it in Formula 1, sportscar racing, Can-Am or in the grueling Paris-Dakar rally-raid event. A superb stylist and a man who mastered the elements, Ickx achieved his very last F1 win at the Race of Champions at Brands Hatch in 1974. Who remembers that fabulous overtaking maneuver on Niki Lauda on the outside of Paddock Bend?
