McLaren want Alonso back for 2019

If you thought you'd seen the last of Fernando Alonso in a Formula 1 car, think again! The two-time world champion is in talks with McLaren about a potential test of their 2019 challenger, having previously received the blessing to do so from drivers Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris. McLaren CEO Zak Brown has confirmed that discussions have been held with Alonso about a potential pre-season run as the team looks to turn around their fortunes after a dismal 2018.
