Lewis Hamilton nominated for BBC Sports Personality

Lewis Hamilton has been nominated for BBC Sports Personality of the year following his fifth World Championship crown. Hamilton joined five other British sports stars on the shortlist including Harry Kane and Geraint Thomas. “Hopefully the eight-year-old me is saying he’s proud.” Said Hamilton at the ceremony in Birmingham. "It's been a long, long journey. I started when I was eight or nine. "It was a dream for us all as a family, to come out and to do something different and do it as a team."
