Vergne extends Techeetah Formula E contract

Reigning Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne has extended his “long-term” contract with DS Techeetah. Vergne joined Techeetah following its rebirth after Chinese company SECA bought Team Aguri at the end of the 2015/16 season, taking his maiden win in the final race of his first season. He won the FE title in season four with Techeetah, which now has the manufacturer backing of DS Automobiles following its switch from Virgin Racing. “First of all, I’d like to say a huge thanks to DS Techeetah for always having believed in me and for keeping their faith,” Vergne said. “DS Techeetah has been my home and my family for the last couple of seasons so it’s fantastic to be able to...
