Ticktum secures Super Formula drive in 2019

Red Bull Racing juniors Dan Ticktum and Lucas Auer have had their Super Formula switches confirmed in the team's tie-up with the Honda Formula Dream Project. Ticktum finished runner-up in the Formula 3 European Championship, with Mick Schumacher pipping him to first place. He has long been tipped to be the programme's next Formula 1 driver. The 19-year-old British junior didn't have the necessary superlicense points to make the cut in F1 in 2019; but Ticktum will not make the step up to Formula 2, like many expected, instead he will race in Super Formula with Mugen. Tomoki Nojiri will be Ticktum's new team-mate at Mugen. Ticktum and Auer are both currently taking part in series rookie test...
