Racing Point will have new name for 2019 F1 season

The Racing Point Formula 1 team will change its name again prior to the start of the 2019 season, team boss Otmar Szafnauer has confirmed. Racing Point is a company set up by Lawrence Stroll and partners following the successful takeover of the Force India F1 team. That led to the team being renamed Racing Point Force India for the remainder of the 2018 season. Last week however on the official 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship entry list, the team name dropped Force India but retained the Racing Point title, leading many to believe this could be the name going forward.
