Nicholas Latifi secures 2019 reserve driver role with Williams

Williams has announced that 23-year-old Canadian Nicholas Latifi has been chosen as the British outfit's reserve driver for 2019. A multiple winner in the FIA Formula 2 series, Latifi enjoyed a series of Friday free practice outings with Force India this season, amassing valuable F1 experience. The young driver's reserve role with Williams will involve six FP1 sessions, two in-season test days, one pre-season test day in Barcelona and two Pirelli test days. Latifi will also handle simulator work at Williams' Grove headquarters and embed with the team on race weekends.
