Ricciardo move to Ferrari blocked in favour of Leclerc

Daniel Ricciardo has revealed that his talks with Ferrari over a potential signing broke down as the Italian team had already set its sights on now-signed Charles Leclerc. The Aussie eventually announced that he'll be driving for Renault from 2019 onwards during this summer break, causing massive shock in the F1 community, as Red Bull had laid an offer on the table as well. Ricciardo had spent five years at Red Bull and ten years in total in the Red Bull 'family', dating back before he ever got to Formula 1.
