Hamilton caps 2018 banner year with two more titles
Lewis Hamilton added to his 2018 credentials by winning the International Racing Driver of the Year and British Competition Driver titles at Sunday's Autosport Awards event. The Mercedes driver conquered his fifth F1 world crown this season - matching the achievement of the great Juan Manuel Fangio - after defeating arch-rival Sebastian Vettel and winning 11 out of 21 races. Hamilton was not present at London's Grosvenor House Hotel to receive his awards, but brother Nicolas was on hand to collect the prizes while the reigning world champion sent a video message to convey his appreciation.
