Tony Ross to go to Formula E

Valtteri Bottas' engineer Tony Ross is set to make a move to Formula E and go to Mercedes' ABB FIA Formula E programme.  Tony Ross joined Mercedes in 2011 having previously worked for Williams. Ross was Nico Rosbergs engineer for 2016, the year when Rosberg won the World Championship. Toto Wolff told the press after the race in Abu Dhabi that "Tony Ross is going to be the chief race engineer of our Formula E programme."  "He's had enough of you guys!" Wolff joked. "He wants to dash off into a fun environment with only one race day in funky cities."  Mercedes are yet to announce a replacement engineer for Bottas next season.
