Abu Dhabi FP2: Bottas tops with Verstappen close

Valtteri Bottas topped the timesheets at the end of FP2 on the first day of free practice of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, pipping Red Bull's Max Verstappen to the top spot by the narrowest of margins. Bottas' best lap time of 1:37.236 was 0.44 of a second faster than Verstappen who was quickest in the earlier FP1 session, with Daniel Ricciardo a couple of tenths shy of the top time in third. Lewis Hamilton was fourth fastest in the other Mercedes, ahead of Ferrari duo of Kimi Raikkonen in fifth and Sebastian Vettel sixth, a mere three tenths separating the top six. Report in progress…
