Abu Dhabi FP1: Verstappen from Ricciardo

In what is effectively a ‘dead-rubber' in terms of the championship, Red Bull got the final weekend of the 2018 Formula 1 season to a flying start as their drivers Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo topped the standings at the end of FP1 for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In what is Red Bull's final race with Renault power, carrying top form Verstappen set the best lap time of 1:38.491, half a second up on Ricciardo in second and a full second faster than the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas with the third-best time.
