Kubica: It's been a long road back

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – 2019 Williams' driver Robert Kubica says that the road back to Formula 1 has been long and difficult. Robert Kubica has been announced as a Formula 1 driver with Williams in 2019. This marks the complete comeback of a driver that had to overcome severe physical injuries as a result of a rallying crash prior to the 2011 season. Then lead driver at the Renault F1 team, Kubica entered a relatively minor rallying event in Italy for fun, but a collision with the barriers left him with a partially severed arm and severe injuries.
