Stroll: It's been a survival year but I have matured
Lance Stroll has endured a dismal second season in Formula 1 because Williams built him an 'evil' race car which he has never been able to tame and, as a result, has had a massive character building experience at the wrong end of the grid. A year ago one could look back on his rookie season and give him a thumbs up, his podium [nearly second place if you recall] a highlight of his solid year in the top flight. But the FW41 they built for him for 2018 has been a horrible piece of kit and the young Canadian has suffered because of it, so much so his billionaire father Lawrence Stroll has bought him a team to show his true skills and end his son's agony.
