Hamilton wins after backmarker punts Verstappen

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen Lewis Hamilton has taken a fortuitous victory in the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix to hand Mercedes the Constructors' Championship title after a lapped car cost Max Verstappen his chance of the win. Hamilton led the opening phase but looked resigned to second after Verstappen seized the advantage following his pit stop, only for Esteban Ocon to punt the Dutchman. The Force India driver had tried to pass Verstappen around the outside of Turn 1 then failed to back out at Turn 2 to turn the Red Bull driver around and drop him to second. Kimi Raikkonen then held on ahead of Daniel Ricciardo to complete the podium after a stirring recovering following a grid...
