Verstappen leads tightly-contested opening practice – FP1 Report

Brazilian Grand Prix – Red Bull's Max Verstappen topped a close-fought opening free practice session ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton. The Mexican Grand Prix winner continued his timesheet-topping form by setting the pace at the Interlagos circuit, registering a 1:09.011 to go less than one tenth of a second quicker than both Vettel and Hamilton. The second Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo finished the session in fourth place, but he'll be hoping for more in qualifying after receiving a five-place grid penalty for a change of turbocharger.
