Verstappen doesn't care about Championship position

Max Verstappen has a real possibility of snatching P3 in the drivers’ standings away from Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen if he finishes the season strongly. The young Dutchman is only 20 points behind Raikkonen and has finished on the podium in five of the last seven races, so he has the momentum. However, in an interview with Sky Sports, the youngster revealed that he doesn’t care if he comes third or fifth. He was asked if he was looking to finish third in the standings, to which he replied: “Not at all, the only position that matters is first.
