Ricciardo backtracks on "let Gasly drive it" comments

Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has backtracked the comments he made after the Mexican Grand Prix, when he stated that he didn't want to drive the final two races anymore and after another heartbreaking mechanical DNF. After taking pole position from his teammate Max Verstappen by just two-hundredths of a second on Saturday, the Aussie was in pure ecstasy, but that feeling was soon stripped for him in the race. After fighting back to race in second place with just ten laps to go, disaster struck yet again, as the 29-year-old had a hydraulic failure in his car that forced him to retire.
