Vestappen wins as Hamilton is crowned a five-time champion

Mexican Grand Prix – Max Verstappen took Red Bull's third win of the season ahead of Sebastian Vettel, with Lewis Hamilton securing his fifth world title. Getting the jump on his team-mate at the start, Verstappen remained in control of the event to secure back-to-back Mexican Grands Prix victories and his fifth career win. This result confirmed Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton as the world champion, with Ferrari's Vettel needing to win the race to remain in the championship hunt. Instead, Vettel could only manage second place after taking full advantage of a car that was much kind to it's tyres than Mercedes'. Kimi Raikkonen followed up to give Ferrari a double-podium.
