Ricciardo snatches pole in Mexico – Qualifying Report

Mexican Grand Prix – Against the form book, Daniel Ricciardo was the man to put Red Bull Racing on pole position after edging team-mate Max Verstappen. After seemingly being unable to compete with his team-mate throughout the Mexican Grand Prix weekend so far, Ricciardo pulled off a surprise pole position to deny his team-mate his first Formula One pole position by just 0.026 of a second. Leading the initial runs in Q3, Verstappen looked on course to also take the record for the youngest pole position winner, currently set by Sebastian Vettel back in 2008. With Verstappen having only two more races in which to break the record, the Mexican Grand Prix was likely to be his last chance...
