Force India confirms Sergio Perez for F1 2019 season
Force India has confirmed that Sergio Perez will continue to race for the team in Formula 1 next season. Perez joined Force India for 2014 after previous spells with Sauber and McLaren, and has established himself as a midfield front-runner and occasional podium finisher. Perez and his backers were one of the main creditors that triggered the administration process in July that ultimately secured Force India’s future in Formula 1. He insisted after the summer break that he had sorted his 2019 plans and the parties have now confirmed the expected development they will continue together for a sixth successive season.
