F1 cars to run lights on rear wing from 2019

As part of the new technical regulations for 2019, Formula 1 cars will race with added on lighting on their rear wings. The World Motorsport Council met on Friday to discuss changes for the upcoming 2019 season, with most of the agenda focusing on the ratification of the calendar for next season. However, some additional changes were made, with formal announcement being made that all Formula 1 cars will race with additional rear wing lighting on their endplates from next season. This was trialed during testing earlier this season, with the intent being to see how they helped with low level lighting conditions.
