F1 confirms rule changes and calendar for 2019
Formula 1 has confirmed an official and unchanged 21-race calendar for the 2019 season. The FIA ratified Liberty Media's F1 schedule released in August, as well as confirming a host of tweaks to regulations for next season, in response to incidents from the current campaign. The 2019 campaign will run from March to December, with Liberty maintaining a record level of races next year - with plans afoot to expand the calendar further. The German Grand Prix's future had been in serious doubt in recent years, with the Nurburgring dropping off the calendar due to financial constraints, which had also affected the Hockenheimring.
